SLIDE SHOW HALF DAY

Here’s a low cost way to bring your car to the Skid Pan. You will learn all about threshold braking, obstacle avoidance and have lots of real “let your hair down” fun... all in a safe, supportive environment.

A great half day out for you and your car.  Learn new braking and steering techniques, NS some slide/spin control... experiencing what happens when you slide or lose control in your car.  All done on a huge, slippery, wet concrete Skid Pan in the Sydney Metro area.

Our professional instructors will jump in with you now and again to coach you on various techniques... it’s all about helping you think calmly in emergencies and slowing your heart rate!

How do we do this? We put you through our emergency training techniques, including ‘handbrake turns’, and get you familiar with these procedures. It’s a great fun environment in which to learn some car control skills! It may also be possible to upgrade on the day to the Full Day Creative Car Control Course for $100, subject to numbers on the day.

Checklist

Prior to the day

• Personal Gift Certificate Package posted to you.
• Once you choose a date we post an information including confirmation of booking date, maps and directions.

Half Day Session

• Sign on at 9:00am, morning tea, snacks etc
• Briefing session approximately 20 minutes
• Off to the Skid Pan for the morning’s exercises where you will learn lots about threshold braking and obstacle avoidance and some slide control.
• Finishes at approximately 1pm.
• Space permitting, an opportunity (for $100) to stay on for the rest of the day, which will include a light lunch. The full day course then finishes by 4pm.

Who can Drive?

Anyone aged 16-90 with a drivers licence. We will also accept a driver who ay have temporarily lost their licence, as we would for a 15 year old with a CAMS licence. However, speak to us if this applies.

This day proceeds rain, hail or shine... the more rain, the more slippery it gets.

Numbers on the Day

You will join a group of other participants on the day.  Numbers are limited to approximately 20 participants. In most cases we have two people driving at any one time.

Session length

9:00am to 1:00pm.

Spectators

Bring along friends and family. Light lunch available for purchase on the day.  (Remember to bring cameras, videos etc).

Special Needs

Participants must not have any medical conditions that are likely to put them at risk on the day. Please advise of any special dietary requirements when booking a date. Your car may not be covered by insurance whilst attending the course… We believe, however, that your risk is your reward! You may, if available, hire the non-exclusive use of one of our cars on the day (extra cost $120).
